Y-12 SWEIS News
The National Nuclear Security Administration, a semi-autonomous agency within the U.S. Department of Energy, has completed the Draft Site-Wide Environmental Impact Statement for the Y-12 National Security Complex (Y-12 SWEIS).
The Draft Y-12 SWEIS is now available for download (pdf format). If you would like to receive a printed or CD copy of the Draft Y-12 SWEIS by mail, please make your online request through this request form.
A Notice of Availability for the Draft Y-12 SWEIS was published in the Federal Register on October 30, 2009. DOE/NNSA held two public hearings on the Draft Y-12 SWEIS on Tuesday, November 17 and Wednesday, November 18, 2009.
The public comment period for the Draft Y-12 SWEIS ends on January 29, 2010. Information about submitting comments can be found on the Contacting DOE section of the website.
